Does anyone happen to know if the inhibition of P450 by cimetidine is immediate (like 1 day), or slow onset (like 3-4 days)? Thanks.

wow, you think we'll have to know that? I vote for sooner rather than later.
 
P450 inhibition is a competitive process, right? If so it should happen early.

(P450 induction, on the other hand, should be a slower process...)

EDIT: Also, just because the inhibition of P450 occurs rapidly does not mean that the consequences (ie. build up of other drugs) will manifest immediately.
