PA Question:Special training necessary to work in particular area of healthcare?

For instance, if someone with a bachelors degree wanted to become a PA and work in a cardiovascular clinic, would he need to go to a masters degree pa program that is especially for those planning to work in that area? Is it ever necessary to attend additional training after a PA program to gain a specialty? Thank you for the answers!

you can specialize through any of the following or a combination of these:
specialty rotations in school(often electives)
postgrad residency or fellowship (see www.appap.org for links to all)
on the job training

for any pa related question you will be better served by posting at www.physicianassistantforum.com where >20,000 pa's will see it as opposed to the 5 who post here at sdn...
