Hey there, I got my acceptance letter last week from Pace. I hope you did too.

Hi there .

Yes I did receive a letter too.

Stats:
Gpa
Associate 3.5
Bachelor 3.2
Prerequisite (with physics class that I am taking over the summer hoping it goes up to 3.3)

100+ volunteering hours in hand therapy, PT, sensory gym.

Full time OT PT assistant (1.5 years)

MDA volunteer
Team leader in a few fundraising events

Independent research in psychology

And a bunch of other extra curricular that I made sure to put it in the application.

Can you share yours?
 
So my GPA was a 3.2 when I applied but I got it up to a 3.3 this semester. I am also taking two science courses over the summer which should help!

I did 101 hours with the geriatric population
44 hours in an orthopedic setting
48 with the pediatric population

For a year now I have also been working as an OT PT assistant.

So they reached out to me for an interview 🙂 but I haven’t received a letter yet or anything. How was it like for you? Did you get interviewed first then the letter? And how was the interview like??? Sorry for so many questions!!

Sorry I’m taking so long to respond!! You have so much experience!! That’s amazing please don’t apologize, it’s a pleasure.

When did they first reach out for the interview? Did you go for an interview yet?
I was called for an interview a week after I applied. I applied like 2 months before the deadline. Got accepted end of May.
I loved the interview. It was an individual interview. The director of OT department interviewed me. I felt like I got to talk about how much I love OT and why I am in this field. Expect lots of ethical questions. A bunch of questions on extra curricular that you might have done? Favorite subject in college?
I know they offer on campus interview or video-conferencing interview if you can’t make it in person. I went in person since I wanted to see the campus too.

They reached out to me for the interview on Monday! How long after the interview did it take to hear back? Thank you so much 🙂
 
About a month because they were still taking applications by the time I interviewed. I’m assuming it will take them less to take back to you

Yes I actually got in! Heard back on Thursday, I’m really excited 🙂
