Any recommendation on board revire books and Qbank? I have my Pain board scheduled this fall. I missed my board last year to take it right afte fellowship due to military obligation. It’s only been a year out and I feel like most of the board materials are out of my head already.

The only book I have been recommended was:

Pain Medicine Board Review by Marc Huntoon.

Any recommendations on Qbank? I’ve seen BoardVitals and Pass Machine. For those who have recently taken the board, do you guys recommend paying for a board review course if any available?

I’m PM&R/Pain. Thank you all!

My suggestion (I took the exam 3 times) is read a medium sized Pain book from cover to cover. Unexpected benefits may follow in addition to passing.

Got 90th percentile and I’m not a good test taker at all. Huntoon x2, board vitals x2 and it was a breeze

Updated Dannemiller board review lectures are hitting the market now

10 year renewal cycle previously.

that has been replaced with MOCA.
yes, but for those new grads who are taking the exam or those who forgot to do their MOCA and have to re-examine

as someone who listened to the last set of Dannemiller lectures for 4 years during my commute to residency I can say these are better except for one lecturer of dubious quality.

I know that guy. Too much lobster and Japanese whiskey.

On that topic. Do we have to repeat the pain boards every 10 years or do we do moca like anesthesia for it? Can’t find an answer anywhere

i listened to dannemiller during fellowship and the years before getting board certified.

worth the listen.

but i dont think it was what helped me pass the boards. Jensen (at the time) was better.

if you are anesthesia pain, your pain MOCA is part and parcel of your anesthesia MOCA.
