I'll be attending Paramedic school next year straight out of HS (will have my EMT-B before I graduate) then going to undergrad (premed). So here is my question.

For those who have gone to paramedic school then taken premed courses- Did taking medic classes help you in premed courses such as Bio, Chem etc?

A girl fainted a few weeks ago during a lung dissection, in Bio II. She hit her head on the floor during her landing and blood was flooding everywhere. Luckily, one of our classmates was a paramedic, and took care of her until the ambulance came over.

I guess that helped?

Not really. You will have about a 2 week head start on a 4 year marathon.

It is kind of helpful that you will be able to make some connections that your peers won't. It might help with memorizing a couple things. But the intellectual level of paramedic classes is so Mickey Mouse compared to genuine pre-med classes.
