Hoze u doin!I did call ADA up,and they told the same stuff,and about the pattern "it is goin to be same for july 2004 & for further update we shd. look online..."Hence nothing very definite yet,but i m sure with the release of new dental deck we ll get some clue of wat kindaa change it ll be.
lets see how it unfolds.

After a long search in this forum the info I gathered is, decks R basically xplanations of old xams!!n the decks will be released once in every 3 or 4 yrs(am not sure) after ADA releases a recent xam paper.So I assume there won't be any diff in the Qs n Ans pattern in the newly released dex n they'll be only xplanations for the recently released 1998 paper!!!All we can do is wait n see!!If anybody has info regarding this plz enlighten us!!Thanks in advance.

i called up ada today and they said part 1 computerized may start from march 15 or the end of march...they are giving applications ..the exam can be given in april

I ll say that kaplan biochem is very gud,and u can read from the brown biochem book(i ve seen that recommended in old threads at SDN only).Lipincott ....may be not very NBDE oriented!!
nyways,it shall be ur decision,that wre do u want to read from!

Right now working on Dental anatomy ..so many things to read and remember .!!!!!!.Is there anything else besides decks and asda papers and kaplan notes..that I could read from??..occlusion part..that seems really tricky ..any advices would be really welcome..

Wheelers is good for occlusion. But Kaplan, ASDA reprints and Decks should be enough for Dental anatomy

I was glad 2 hear abt CBT being started frm march 15.With all the rumors n news abt changing pattern....want to get it over with part 1 in the earliest.

AS for me i've started studying anat frm chaurasia n kaplan. Biochem frm lippincott's...i agree it's very vast n u got to do selected studies frm that...some topics go too deep which is not required for nbde.But otherwise it's good...atleast thngs don't evaporate that easily if u read frm that..Regarding DA i agree with ketu ,kaplan is very good along with decks....

Hope v all come out with flying colors .Wishing all of us luck.
Plzz do keep informing abt all u'r study plan n progress,that sure inspires me...thanks

hi gorur.........i am sick and tired of doing anat from text so i have started with the ADSA reprints.......i refer the SNELLS whenever i need........thats a better thing to do i guess..........
i do not know where to do the dental anat from as i do not have kaplan notes........
what about physio........are u doing theory from the text...........or just the questions............

How'z it goin?Sitting for long in front of one text is really frustrating. But got to hold on ..got to go long way..i try changing the sub if i get bored u also try doin that....
I'm not refering any text for physio....most of the ppl in sdn have written decks,kaplan n asda reprints to b fine..so i'm sticking with it.wonder if i can finish this stuff only..

Well, I just joined the forum a couple of weeks back. I am also taking part I in july '04. I am doing physiology right now ,started preparing from february only.I am doing theASDA questions and decks simultaneously!! will keep you all posted with my preparation.

For physio.....u can refer the text/texts u used in ur 1st yr.Moreover as u r still in college(guess u r doin' internship) u can 'refer' the books u used previously,'cos u'll 've an idea.For instance we used to refer Guyton,chowdary,chatterjee etc.....some topics r good in some n so!!Bottomline is am not askin u 2 refer all those.....but jus go thro' the book u used or referred previously!so that it takes less time 4 u 2 brush up.I dunno how the physio in kaplan is...still i gotta read from that!now Vth me I've only one part of chatterjee....so I've to do physio from kaplan only...no other choice.But i hope it'll be good!

hmmm so there's another review book 4 physio too....i heard li'l,brown review(i guess they r publishers)only 4 biochem!!!Am plannin' 2 stick 2 kaplan n dex.....as already so much is there in them!!In fact u r at an advantage studyin in ur internship....u can use ur libr 4 references n all!we never knew abt nbde n all in our internship😀 !well,am also from rajivgandhi university,finished in Dec'2002.....then my prep is jus sloggin'....am plannin' 2 take CBT....but not yet decided!!I started 1st Vth DA....somehow am replusive 2 that subject😀 !!.....take care.........ciao

too much of mugging up puts me of..........anyways i have a WHEELERS compact disc....got from my college lib........check if u can get that from somewhere its good..........
WELL i do have an access to my coll lib but at the same time i hav to be there from 8.30 to 4.30 in the evening.....amonts to the same..............

hmmm u do not 've papers from 90-95.....the last 3 series of ASDA reprints are 1)1-I...jul'89(released '91)
2)1-J...dec'96( " '97)
3)1-K...dec'98( " '03)
now u can make out which ones u doesn't 've!🙂

I din't get either my GPA or course by course eval yet!! n as far as my limited knowledge goes... u can contact either ece.org or wes.org.I depends on the universities u r applyin to....some accept both n some accept only one.IMHO u can find more regarding those if u can do search in this forum.......good luck🙂

Someone mentioned in the past, that WES gets your a higher GPA than ECE does. If you can afford it just get both evaluations done, and use them at your convenience.

ok CD is good........it contains the diagrams from the book and the real tooth images......u can zoom the image to do comparative study and the features are more clear.......mandibular movements are given well.............its really good.......see if u can do something or let me know if i can be of some help.............

how r u? Why u r worried about that magic number. It is not that tough to get it. It just needs the right method of prep and right material and ofcourse right moment. So i dont worry about it.
Even i was very tensed when i was giving my exams. It is common i think.
So
dont worry and u will be fine.
