Hi
Congratulation for the great scores. Can someone tell me how the raw score is transformed to the standard score. For example, you have the standard score of Anatomy of 93, does that mean you might get 93 questions right out of the 100 questions in the test? Thanks advance.

plz guys...answer my questions...thhts wht i am actually asking ...people gettin scores in 90'z ...r those the actual scores or the scores with the curve benefit...plzzzzz..post an answer quick..as i think i had more than 10 wrong in all the 4 sections...does tht mean i can never expect my score in the 90'zz...i really wnt to get thru this time.....plz reply...........make me feel better ..plzzzzzzzzzz...help

The scores reported are the scaled scores, not how many are correct out of 100.

For example, you can miss roughly 45-55 questions and still get a passing score of 75 in each section (with the exception of Dental Anatomy). Students typically do much better in dental anatomy, so the scaled scores in that section do more closely represent the actual number correct. A passing score of 75 in dental anatomy is probably missing only 25-28 questions.

dodnt worry, more than 10 questions wrong in each section means u will get an good percentile depending on the score curve basis.when i gave my exam i thought mine were around 40 questions wrong(just guessed)out of 400 questions,4 sections and i scored in mid 90s.so dodnt worry u will get a good score.good luck.

hey guys
thanx for everything.what score i got is a percentile score.as mentioned above in one message, except DADH i think other sub. i would have got around 80 or above correct.but in dadh i think it should be near 85 or above.so if u r wrong in 20 -25 answers still u will have good score except DADH, where u should have above 85, to get good score above 90's.

hi
the answer for ur q. is no.what score u get is a percentile score.score 93 means ur actual score should be near 80-85.there is a percentile table for each range of score.but it changes for all the years.this percentile table depends upon quality of q. paper.if paper was hard than the range difference will be more.but in DADH this percentile range will be always near to the actual score.
i hope u got the point.

Hi,Congrats on your great score!
I am planning to take my nbde-1 (cbt) and was wondering is the three month kaplan course is useful for preparation. What did u use for ur preparation.ur help would be greatly appreciated .
Thanks

thanx a lot.
i have not taken any kaplan course in part 1 and i dont think so that many guys take kaplan in part 1.part 1 we can do it without kaplan.but its good if u tak it in part 2.for part 1 they dont have diff. dental material to teach.they cut off some thing from USMLE .they dont teach DADH also i think.u can do it at home, with kaplan material, decks and q. papers.
all the best.if u have any confusion u can ask.
