The previous thread has gone nowhere. Please, answer the above question in this thread. Take and pass your judgement about the OP elsewhere.
PCOM, at their 2007 Open House, stated that they apply a cut of 8 on each part; doesn't matter if you have a 24 or a 38 total, you need the 8 on each part.
They also said they apply a hard cut for gpa, but they weren't concrete on where that cut was; got the impression it was about 2.9.
I looked as UsNews and this data tells me otherwise on PCOM:
Overall score (composite): 8.0
Verbal reasoning: 8.2
Physical sciences: 7.6
Biological: 8.3
mdapplicants.com isn't always the best tool as there are many fake profiles up unfortunately. But if anyone has any official school information, please share!Well, many schools like West Virginia (D.O.), Howard etc..accept with 6 or 7 verbal. That is obvious since if you go onto mdapplicants.com you can see this.
I also went to that open house at PCOM. They provided a pamphlet saying 8 on each section and above a 3.2 gpa, while hinting around a 2.9 mark as a cut off. I assumed the 8 and 3.2 were cut offs to be competitive, but not really absolute cut offs. Those numbers seem a little too close to the averages for matriculants.
