part I vs part II

Hello friends,

I want to know tht when one applies to dental school for advance standing program ,does the part II score matters for the admission??

I mean if two applicants are at same level in part I, GPA and did almost same in interview , then does the school considers part II score also or they don't even ask for it .

I don't think you need to take part II test before you really get in the dental school. Only part I is required.

Its not neccessary to take part2 before u actually get in.But if two candidates r at same level in all other aspects ,then part2 candidate will be given preference

R u sure about it? I mean have u seen any example like this?
Although i knw its a very vague qustn n totally depends upon the school authority,still curious about it.
But i personally feel that its not right on their part to consider part II scores also as it is not mentioned anywhere in the eligiblity criteria. So they should limit themselves to whtever the requirements are.

They DON'T in UCSF.It was said unequivocally.
