Part time student status let schools know?

Hey guys quick question. I understand that some schools in the "additional information" boxes or somewhere in the secondary apps want you to explain why someone took an entire quarter or semester off or why they cheated in school.

I became a part time student for the winter quarter of my senior year due to some family problems. Is this something I should explain? I have a good gpa and decent mcat score so that's why I'm thinking I don't and it's not like I took off an entire quarter.
