How feasible is it to do Part-time work in FP? I realize there are multiple variables involved (ie location, income etc).

Depends on your employer. There are plenty of FP's who work a 4 day week or a 3 day week. The other option is to work locums. Make mega money and they send you all sorts of places. I found locums to be fun and a way to meet lots of new people. It pays super well especially if ER coverage is included.
Seriously you could work locums randomly a few weekends each month to pay your bills and have most of the month off if you worked it right. Rural places pay the best. I made about a year's salary in 4.5 months in rural Texas but I covered ER on the holidays too so that pays much more. Just a thought.
