Dear First and Second Year Medical Students,
We are inviting you to take part in a research study on medical students' perceptions of the ideal characteristics of a physician and the sources through which those idealized perceptions arise. Previous research has demonstrated that medical students typically develop their idealized images of physicians from their prior experiences in healthcare, such as shadowing, and viewing television medical dramas.
Participating in this research study is completely voluntary and involves completing a short survey. The survey will take between 10-15 minutes to complete and will not collect any identifying information. Upon completion of the survey, you will be given an opportunity to enter into a drawing for a chance to win one of twenty $50 digital gift cards. You will have a 6% chance of winning.
Read more about and take the survey here.
If you have any questions about this research, please reach out to Megan Kruskie ([email protected]) or Dr. Byram ([email protected])
Thank you for considering participating in this study.
This research has been approved by the Indiana University Institutional Review Board, IRB #20183.
