participating in a clinical trial as a MS/Resident

Do you all think its okay to volunteer in a clinical trial in the same institution where you are a medical student, resident or fellow? Of course, it depends on how comfortable you are with the procedure/data/sample that they gather. But something like a non-invasive study for example...the protein structure of your hair or something, in which they pay you a reasonable amount to participate (>$100)? I could use the additional cash on a resident salary (refer to another thread in the same forum ;)

Something non-invasive w/o drugs...go for it.
However, if other things involved,...google: Dr. Scott Scheer ALLHAT (radiologist). Might change your mind (he was a radiology preceptor of mine)
