States Allow PAs to Practice Independently Amid Doctor Shortage
Physician assistants have gained more authority under state laws passed in recent years amid growing doctor shortages, and the trend is likely to continue. Bloomberg Law data shows that in 12 states, PAs can now practice independently without having to secure an agreement with a physician first.
