I'm an Army Flight Surgeon, assigned to a line unit and working out of a clinic with other Regimental providers, including a brigade surgeon.

My question is this- does my Battalion's PA work under my medical license?

Does anyone have the applicable AR at hand?

Thanks

Google AR 40-48 the reg is in Ch 3-4.

It depends on what your local MTF/DIVSURG has decided. My local MEDDAC CDR officially appoints all AD PAs to work under the license of their BDE Surg. Since you're in a CAB and have docs at the BN level, it should be whoever is the primary superviser for that PA.

By regs, every PA's rater has to be a physician. I'm assuming you are at the BN level. Selfishly, if I were your BDE Surg I'd make my BN Docs the primary rater and supervisory physician for their respective PAs. One less thing to worry about. :meanie:

Hope that helps.

I figured as much. I'm betting it's my brigade surgeon's license, but will check with the local friendly MEDDAC.

Would seem kind of unfair to have 5-6 PA's under one guy's license, but then again very little the Army does makes sense.

How's life with the Rock of the Marne?
