Hello,
So my school has given us the option of taking a P/F for courses this semester or sticking with a letter grade. I got an A- in my second English course. Keeping it a letter grade, my GPA is a 3.880, but if I opt to make it P/F, my GPA goes up to 3.885 (which I assume will be rounded to 3.89 by AMCAS).

Do you people recommend that I P/F this course or take the A- ? That 0.01 boost in GPA is pretty appealing. I know many schools are accepting P/F grades but I do not know how it would look for a pre-req course like English. Also to confirm, AMCAS would round a 3.885 up to a 3.89 right?

Thank you!

Keep the grade. Ain't a single thing wrong with an A-minus, and making it pass fail draws unnecessary attention to it.
