Pass/Fail Science Class for My Major

Will it matter if I take a Pass/Fail science class for my major? It is not a pre-req for med school, but I'm missing it a lot the next few weeks for interviews. It requires a ton of studying and I probably won't get a great grade. Is this ok?

Pass/Fail classes don't give you a letter grade. They just give you a P or F... Make sure you pass
