I'm not asking which one is better, as this is very subjective and doesn't really tell me anything.

I would like to know how I can find out which osteopathic schools grade on a pass/fail system, an honors/pass/fail system or a grade system.

Also it seems different schools have different teaching methods, but how do you know which are which? For example, some schools break you up into small groups and do more hands-on learning, while others are more of the standard classroom setting. At least, this is the information I've gotten, I could be wrong. Either way, how would I learn which schools do which?

I looked in the "Osteopathic Medical College Information Book," but it didn't really tell me. And I'm kind of confused on how to find this info out for myself. If anyone could help me, I'd appreciate it. BTW, I'm interested in this info for Osteopathic schools mostly.

Ill speak for NYCOM. They have pass/fail/honors. As for the teaching style you can do either a lecture based track or a problem based group case study track called DPC. Its your chose as to which track you choose. If you want to do the DPC program, then you have to apply for it. Only 40 or so people are in that track per year. Once you are in the DPC track, you are in it for the remander of school and same goes for if you are in the lecture based track, you have to stick with that for the rest of school.

The other schools that I know of are:

UMDNJ-SOM has High Pass/Pass/Low Pass/Fail and also has an option for a lecture based track or PBL based track.

LECOM bradenton is purely PBL and im not sure what their grading system is.
