For your information:

For the first time in history, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada is posting its pass rates for the residents in various medical specialties (Canadian residency trained, first-attempt only).

The data for 2007 is available now.

What were the raw numbers? How many took each specialty exam? If 2 took the test and 2 scored a 100%, this may make you wonder about the test.

I have never known anyone who took any of these tests.

How successful are the Canadians as a group on the Step 1, Step 2, and Step 3? Probably pretty well.

It states at the top: "...includes the specialties and subspecialties that had five or more candidates registered at the 2007 certification examinations"

As a whole Canadians do quite well on the USMLEs. I would say very close to the U.S passing rates.
