PAT - Hole Punch question

So I have recently begun studying for the DAT and I understand the rules for most of the PAT portion. But I am a little confused when it comes to the rules of the hole punch section. Can the pages be folded into the plane of the paper? Also can the page be flipped? I am asking this because I thought I've read the paper is always folded out of the plane and can not be flipped or twisted. But yet when I study the PAT portion of crack the DAT one question seems as if they are flipping the page.



I just need to know if this is what I should be expecting on the real DAT or if this is more for practice.

The way you've worded this is hard for me to describe. They will fold the paper like this on the PAT section, but they aren't turning the point of view of the paper. If that makes sense.

I assume you're confused from the second fold to the third fold. They just folded the paper over itself to get to the final shape.

I don't know if that answers your question or not. That is a tougher hole punch question though. My best advice would be to watch youtube videos on the PAT. There are great hole punch videos on there, if I remember right.

Yes. Fold 2 to 3 is what is confusing me. I've tried folding this myself with a post-it and the only way I can get to fold 3 is if I completely flip the paper (like picking it up and flipping it over). I thought flipping was a no-no and that the only thing that occurs is folding.

Let me try and clarify my question. Can the folds occur away and towards the viewer viewpoint (does that make sense?)?

Referring to the hole punched images directly above the answer choices:
The hole in the top-most left corner (Images C and) is the bottom-most right corner (Image B), which corresponds to the bottom right and bottom left corner of image A.
= this narrows the choices to A and C.

Now think of the 4x4 grid as A,B,C,D going left to right and 1,2,3,4 going top to bottom (so I can refer to it).
To Answer Choice C, you would have to punch a hole that corresponds to B3 in Image B. However, in Image D, it is clear that B3 (from Image B) is just folded in half and avoids getting punched. This rules out C.

Therefore, Answer is A.
