PAT is killing me!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
so im retaking my DATs in about 2 weeks because in my first DATs i got a 15 on the PAT section which i still cannot understand why because i scored 19s and 20s on the crackDAT.

i expected to do much much better on this section because its the section that i least worried about b/c i thought i was set!

im guessing that i did horribly on several sections...my guess would be TOP/FRONT/END?
the line counting DOES NOT WORK on the real dats!!! i totally depended on this method for T/F/E and used it on crackPAT and did very well...but on the real dats i remember struggling using this method because all the choices seem to work with the line method. i mean if i was able to narrow it down to two choices i could've somehow visualized the object?
but i really dont know how to do this section if i cant use that method!

angleranking was much easier than crack and hole punching as well compared to crackpat

keyhole...not the worst section...i usually get 11-13s...cube counting was a little harder than i expected but manageable unless i totally counted wrong...

but pattern folding....one of the toughest section and takes the most time but do-able!

i still dont know what i did wrong on this section that got me such a LOW SCORE! i had to have gotten half of the questions wrong to get a 15!!!

im stressed 😕

right now im practicing PAT with crackPAT again and also got the achiever 5 tests but their PAT sections are like SUPER HARD.
on crackPAT im scoring the same as last time...18s - 20s
on achiever...i did the first test got totally FREAKED OUT cause i got a 15...it was wayyy too hard.

any advice on how to prepare for this section better so i can get that 20?!?!?

In high school I took a drafting course where we actually had to draw top/front/end diagrams of weird objects that the teacher gave us. I thought it was totally useless, until I discovered it was on the DAT. That section was really easy for me, because I had spent time actually drawing the diagrams myself, so I knew what to expect. I would suggest trying that for a little, it could really help.

PAT was one of my best sections (25), PM me if you want any other help.

Just practice, practice, practice. For the TFE, try to look at ways to eliminate the other answers by looking at the different pictures. Like if you have a box inside of a box, you know that there is either a hole there, or there is a cube shape coming out at you. And usually, you can figure out what it is if you look at the other angle. Don't try to visualize the whole image or what it looks like, just look at certain sections and get to your answer by elimination. But really for PAT, practice makes perfect so you can get better at it.
