I still think it's C. The only figure that has a square at the center of the top view is C.

I say it should NOT have a square at the center becuz it has different heights.

i also think A is correct 🙄

there is no way that answer is c.
if C shape is the answer, I say A is even better answer. there is a difference between height.

i would also agree with C, if you look at the top of the end view diagram, the slope goes up makes an edge, goes horizontal and then goes down. when you look at it from the top view that makes a square. hope that helps, no other way to explain it.

I dont know , to me the answer looks like A. If you look at c , you see the two bars being crossed. But according to the end and front views , they really dont cross each other. More like ..lie on top of each other ?

ehhhhh its 3 am ..shoot me if I just posted non sense.

it's C. bang bang for non-sense 😉

well the way i think of it, anytime theres an edge or a change in the surface, a line is created. pretend looking at the top of a trapizoid, you'll see 3 squares, top of a pyramid you will see a box with an X.

Hey guys... I'm seeing some confusion among you all, but it's not difficult to tell that the answer is C. I happened to be getting some help on my maths from the author of DAT Achiever the other day and did bring up this question to him at the same time by sending him the above link (although I well knew that this question came from some other practice guide). He did a favor for me by confirming that the answer is C via the following link he just gave me:

http://3tquest.com/TFE.htm

(Note: Non-users of DAT Achiever will be prompted to download a viewer software, eDrwaing 2005, in order to see this rotatable model... hope this helps to a great extent 🙂 )

hmm, i can't open this link, but I say the answer IS C. doesn't matter whether they cross intersect, but look carefully, the 2 horizontal lines in the middle are supposed to show due to the height difference (see end view).

do i make sense? 😳

For those having difficulty installing the Active X control of eDrawing, click on the following uploaded image.

I believe this thread clearly shows the utmost importance of having complete/versatile 3D explanation to help us visualize certain crucial things not easily pictured in our own mindset. DAT Achiever is truly the best PAT guide I ever found,... and if sharpening your perceptual skills is a real concern at this point, go get it now... PAT's not something that can adequately/easily be explained using words and mouth alone. 🙂

I don't think that is the drawing of the object. Looking at this object from end view will not show crossing as shown in the end view.
Attached is what I think the question should be. That would make C the right answer.

right, the top is not flat, but it's very close to accurate.

Terrible... where's this question from? Another possible way for C to be the right answer is changing the End View as attached per the model given by devan_smith:

nothing wrong with the question. it's a valid question. C is the answer. May this thread come to an end? Amen.
