Hello Everyone,

To anyone who actually go into a school in the states (preferably NYU or UNC) do you know how much emphasis they put on the Perceptual portion of the DAT? Just worried because a lot of schools don't publish the perceptual scores but instead the AA and Total Science scores.

Cuz i scored 17 on the PAT but have a 22 AA along with a 3.78 gpa. Will the 17 ruin my app?

Thanks.

with your AA and GPA, you should be fine.. 17 is not bad..

not much

It totally depends on the school. I would assume the ones that publish their averages care. My next door neighbor was the student chair on the adcom for a school that wouldn't give you an interview unless you were at a certain percentile. That being said, i dont think it will make or break you. I'll trade you 1 or 2 PAT pts for 1 or 2 gpa points 😀

Wow, that sucks with the whole being in the certain percentile range. I figure that's how it works in Canada because it's bloody difficult to even get an interview there. I would love to trade a couple GPA points for DAT points lol, only if I could recieve the amount of alcohol I could've consumed partying instead of sitting in the library studying 🙁 lol
