This guy turned down $9 million to serve in a much more difficult and dangerous capacity in the armed forces, and we have people on this board whining and looking for ways to get out of their HPSP contract? Unbelievable.

This man's life and death have reaffirmed that I made the right choice in signing on. I'm sure there's lots of others who feel the same way. I can't wait to go active next year.

Not meaning to nit pick, but he actually turned down 3.2 million over 3 years. Still a remarkable man, and soilder.

Not meaning to nitpick either, but according to NPR's coverage this afternoon he turned down 9 million from the Rams in 2000 to stay in AZ and then ~3 million from the Cardinals in 2001 preferring to enlist...I think you're both right.
