path shelf passing grade?

Does anyone know what is the path shelf passing grade this yr? And what is the best way to study for it. I just got done with path and dont feel like it was taught well and thus didnt learn it very well. Taking shelf in 6 days. What is the best approach? Thanks

BRS path and Robbins Q book..........all anyone should need for path shelf and path on usmle I.

This may be a little off topic, but I plead ignorance here. Am I to understand that most schools administer the pathology shelf exam as the final exam in pathology? I ask because our school administers their own path final and then makes those who didn't pass take the shelf exam. Just curious.

That's the idea - not all schools administer it, but it seems like most do. Some schools (can't remember which) do this not only with path, but with all of their other subjects as well (physio, anatomy, biochem, pharm, etc).

I don't know if there is such a thing as a "passing grade" this isn't administered as a certifying exam like step 1 where there is a cutoff value.

you are simply given a national percentile in which you fall.

So then how do schools determine whether or not you "passed"? We have to pass this exam to pass the path course regardless of what grade we made in the actual course. I guess it's the school's decision as to what they set as the passing grade, if what you're saying is valid.
