Just wondering, what is the path to PsychD? My brother has a degree in psychology and was at one time interested in pychology. Now he is pursuring medical school, which I am trying to talk him out of.

Is it similar to other professional schools like law and medicine, or more similar to graduate school in the core sciences?

Any input would be helpful.

It really depends on the school and the program since many differ in their approach. Some PsyD programs are professional degree programs like MD or JD programs, but I think most are similar to PhD programs and involve research and dissertations. Look up some PsyD programs and see what their curriculum entails.
