God, how I so dislike medicine. The rounding, the long-term patient care crap. The internists who have nothing better to do than look for reasons to keep healthy people in the hospital, despite the fact that the problem for which they were admitted is resolved, at least to the level of being able to be taken care of as an out-patient.

I know why they have an 80 hour rule and we a 60. I work so much harder in an 8 hour ED shift than I do on a 24 hour medicine shift.

It is a wonder what they do all day. I am done with all my work by noon, usually, but still have to sit here for another 5 hours until I can "sign-out."
