Awww!!! That would have been fun!!! I do have 3.5 weeks left over at the END of my summer if you want help!

I moved in with my grandparents to help them take care of this house, basically cleaning up after them. I'm rapidly getting sick of having to clean the floor after my grandmother has **** all over the place.
 
A CT on a broken finger from 2 weeks ago? Damn....are you getting a cut from every CT you order? :laugh:

Holy cow! Just got the ACEP scientific assembly thing for October. There is some discounted hotels for members. I was checking them out... average of about $200 a night. :wow: Over several nights, that is steep livin'. What do most students do... hostels, share?

Re broken finger 10 days ago. So I'm seeing a 25 yo non-******ed guy with a hand problem last night. Injured it at horseplay 10 days ago. Base of thumb pretty swollen, can't move it in any direction. Xray shows a shortened displaced Bennet's.

BKN: So where were you 10 days ago?

Pt: Well it was really swollen then and my mother told me that you guys wouldn't take an xray while it was swollen.

BKN: *?*
 
Thank you for point out that he wasn't ******ed. That precluded me from asking the obvious question. I guess now he's just R/O too stupid to live. :laugh:

My guy said he wasn't ******ed but it's had to be sure when you hear the story. 20ish yo M who work some kind of light construction. Trips and falls on out stretched hand on the jobsite. No idea how this resulted in a boxer's fx but what do I know 😉 . Turns out pt had already clocked out and was not supposed to be on the jobsite at all. Company says whatever just fill out the work comp stuff, bleed in the tube and pee in the cup and we'll cover you. Pt says nah. So company says you can kiss your work comp good bye. Goes to his chiropractor for treatment of his sore hand. Chiro takes various rounds of Xrays and does various adjustments. Third or fourth visit declares "You have a fracture." Go see Dr. Ortho. Pt goes to Dr. Ortho. Dr. Ortho's desk says that'll be $1600 cash up front (snide comment about dysfunctional Las Vegas medical system given 😡 ). Pt says nah. Dr. Ortho's desk says "Well, if you got no cash then (drum roll please) go to the ER!" So that's how I got to see a 2 week old hand fracture at 1 am.

Bonus stupidity. After I put Mr. Nah in a splint mom (of course the 20ish construction worker with a hand boo boo 2 weeks old in the ER at 1 am was accompanied by his mom) mom asks "Now he plays drums in a punk band. Can he keep playing or will that make things worse?" I asked again "Are you sure you're both not ******ed?"

I guess that settles the old debate whether intelligence (or lack thereof) is genetic.
