Do any of your clinics use patient satisfaction scores? What is your opinion on them?
The urgent care I work at uses them but does not actively hand them out - they are on the check out area desk. I tend to get poor scores as I use antibiotics appropriately (gasp) and RARELY give pain meds. These are not helpful - but I have been told "to be better at customer service," which I find pretty offensive.
The clinic I work out also has to do satisfaction surverys - a certain number per provider each month - as it is part of the Indian Health Services protocol. I don't find these helpful, no one gives suggestions unless its a personal attack or rude comment - otherwise they just circle scores.
