Hi everyone,

As a Canadian applying to US MD this coming cycle, I was wondering if I would have to pay for all 4 years of med school upfront? This would be an outrageous ~$400k payment.

I have a family friend who as a Canadian had to pay for all 4 years of US med school at once prior to matriculation, but this was a decade ago.

Any insight is appreciated. Thank you!

Unfortunately, Canadian citizens are not eligible for loans through the US government. Students that still need financial assistance after all personal funds and scholarships have been obtained, can turn to a private student loan for help.
