Hi I am planning on taking the pcat this year in September. I know the pcat format changed this year but I am currently studying from Dr. Collins 2015 pcat materials and I also have practice pearson tests from 2015. I am wondering since the 2015 Dr.Collins does not have passages for bio/chem section would that be a problem for me in taking the pcat. Should I continue to study from the 2015 packet or buy the new version.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Personally, I think you will be fine studying the material you have and the pearson practice tests. I took the PCAT this past January when the passages were experimental. Now, there will be double the passages but about half of those (roughly) are still experimental. I did find the passages to be a pain, however, you do not have to really read the whole passage to answer the questions. They didn't seem to effect my score either as I was happy with the bio and chem score. I have been using doctor collins as well (I do not have his updates but am using his packet from a couple years ago) and did three pearson practice tests last time. I plan to do a couple practice tests this time as well. In my opinion, you should be fine!

Hi,
Could you please tell me if dr colin's chem section is sufficient for the test or not?
thanks

@sara777 I was just asking the same thing to double check. i did study dr. collins biochem and skimmed over the o-chem but posted a thread asking if his chem is sufficient for the exam... i know his general chem and biochem is..
