Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what study guides proved to be helpful in preparing for the PCAT. I am studying for the October exam and find myself confused on what study guides will help. I took the Kaplan course last year and it was a waste. I scored below 50%(48%). I have looked at Barron's, Peterson, AudioLearn, Schoolware's site...PLEASE HELP!!!I don't have much time and I am getting nervous.

It seems that you've tried all the study guides that are available out there lol... If I were you, I'd open my old notes from my chem, biology and O chem classes. Review all the vocabulary lists provided in the kaplan book. October is 6 months away so I think you still have plenty of times left to review everything.

You have plenty of time till October.
For General Chem try this
5 steps to a 5 AP Chemistry by Dr. John T Moore and Dr. Richard Langley. I paid about $17 at Barnes and Noble

Get the Schaum's Outlines to the covered courses. Gen Chem, O-chem, and Molecular Biology. They cover all the most important concepts and also explains things way better than the textbooks assuming you learned a little about each subject. These are cheap at amazon.com and actually reteach the concepts rather than just giving you sample questions to pick your brain about.

None that people have not mention here...
I used the Kaplan book but it had plenty of mistakes on it, I did not use their chem sessions.
