does applying early to pharm schools benefits...if a person doesnot have the pcat score yet when applying...and i mean applying to those schools that has rolling admissions?

has anyone gotten accepted when applied early to those schools that requires pcat, and have rolling admissions...but u applied it while waiting for the pcat score...

please share ur stats...gpa, the school u got accepted to.. or any other important info regarding this situation.

thanks

I applied very early to a number of schools, some that required pcat and some that don't. I got an interview at Nova even before I took the January PCAT...so it's a good idea to apply even if you don't have ur scores. I got accepted to UCSD (don't require pcat) and am going to be going there so it's not an issue for me, but it does help to apply early!

thanks for replying

can you please share ur cumulative and science gpa..and did u have bachelors degree when u applied?

I would definitely apply as early as possible!! And plus this upcoming year the PCAT will be offered in June, August, October and January so you have more chances and so more early options to take it. from what I have heard, University of Florida for instance only had like 10 complete applications in Nov/December-- meaning if you are one of them your application will get thoroughly looked at! Hope this helps

according to pharmcas:
overall 3.5
science 3.9
and pcat.....70....
I'm in my last semester of school, so I'll hvae my bachelors in May.
so apply early and just hope for the best! I had a number of interviews before my pcat scores came out so just get all ur information to the schools. good luck

i applied VERY early to two universities an my PCAT at the time was a 47. I took it again and got in the low 90s... within 2 weeks of the colleges recieving them I had an interview set up for both.
