Hey guys,
I am currently a third year student at PCO and I have been living in a house that my parents purchased and have been renting rooms out for the past 3 years. I know that some of you are already starting to look for places to live while there, and I wanted to present this as an option!
A little info on the house itself: It is newly renovated with all new stainless steel kitchen appliances, new bathrooms, and hardwood floors through out. there are 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and the house is right in between school and TEI, the clinic. (approx 1 mi in either direction.. about a 5-7 min drive with lights)
The house will be available in August, just in time for you incoming first year students to set yourselves up before orientation. I can also work out a deal where I can leave any furniture you may be interested in, so there is less for you to purchase when you come up here!
If you were interested in getting some of your future fellow classmates together, I believe you would find this a very inexpensive alternative to living at the colonade, which thankfully, I've never had to do!!!!!😀
The price for the whole house would be $1900 or a breakdown as such:
smallest room: $425
midsized room: $450
master room: $475
basement room with own living room: $550
My dad is pretty flexible if you wanted to negotiate. And utilities are not included however average about $60/month in winter and $45/month in summer per person. Let me know what you think and/or if you are interested.
Also, for any person who is considering also purchasing a house and doing what my parents did, and rent the rooms out to students (which was never a problem finding roommates! esp because rent is so cheap compared to neighboring apartment complexes) so that you can live for free
, let me know and I can get the sale price to you as well!!!
Otherwise, good luck, and see you at PCO soon!
