DrMaz, when is your interview? Mine is Jan. 26.
So I found out that my DO didn't write me a LOR because of a misunderstanding. I am complete aside from that letter. I know that I don't have the greatest MCAT but will I be considered without that LOR?
Yes. You will be considered for possible interview because I don't have an LOR from a D.O. prior to interview. If you don't have an LOR from DO, it is recommended that you have at least one strong LOR from a professor (one who knows you well). During the intervierw, I never mentioned about the fact that I don't have an LOR from a D.O. They never asked me either. However, during the end of the intervierw, I decided to bring up the fact that I was shadowing a D.O. and asked if they would like to receive a copy of an LOR from the D.O., then they said that would be great if I can forward it immediately before the committee meets. So, LOR from DO is not required but recommended.
You are in denial my friend. DENIAL!Get out.
No. I'm in PCOM.You are in denial my friend. DENIAL!
It took about a week for my check to be cleared although it arrived in the mail in one-two days.how long does it take P.C.O.M to acknowledge receipt of our deposite? I sent mine in last Saturday but the check hasn't even been cashed....shld I worry?
The luncheon was a great meet and greet with the other students. Lunch was good. I wish I knew what kind of salad dressing they used 😉. Faculty and adcom members sat with us, too. Dr. Balin spoke about research. For those that went, how was the luncheon today?

Any hot girls?
I refuse to sound like a pig or jerk.
The days of PCOM's rule of SDN are dead.
JPH is gone. Medhacker isn't around (probably drove to grocery store and froze).
NSU represent!

still trying to decide whether or not to take the leap and go to PCOM..y don't I just not think about it and send in the damn deposit? ahh!😱
It will say on AACOMAS when everything is released...So I'm starting to get worried about my application. I submitted through AACOMAS on Oct. 26 and haven't heard anything.
I called AACOMAS and they said there was a problem with my transcripts. Fixed that on Nov. 11. Application was completed. Called again, they said they were "processing" it.
PCOM still doesn't have it.
Any tips? Specific contacts at PCOM who might be able to figure this out?
Interesting... source?
I would say yes, they are probably also applying ACGME. It might also suggest that students are more prepared to take the USMLE but I'm not drawing conclusions.https://www.do-online.org/files/lcl_optirepmatch.pdf
I guess, when I look at it more, its because fewer PCOM students are applying to AOA residencies, so I assume they are applying just for the hard stuff.
So, I was supposedly complete back in AUGUST and called today to see what was up. I was told by one lady, very kindly, that something was weird with my application and to call back and ask for someone else. I called back and simply got a "You're complete? There is NOTHING more I can do. You will be notified by mail when they make a decision"
Anyone else in this weird limbo? I've been complete since frickin' August. I'd just like to know. I'm not mad at the attitude because I'd probably be the same way if premeds bugged me all day, but still. It would've been nice to at least humor me and check to make sure stuff was in order instead of acting like I was an a-hole for wondering.
UMDNJ never said anything to me, but they cashed my check. I'll probably go rejectionless from there for years to come.
