Thanks!!

biomed program? can u please elaborate on that?

could u provide me with details about pcom-ga relevant to the interview as well? Thanks!

It's a typical post-bac program. 3 trimesters leading to certificate or go on for second year to get masters degree in biomedical sciences.
I don't know much to tell you about the interview as they are making us wait until after the 2nd trimester's grades (Feb) before anyone in my class can interview (which stinks by the way because they will probably have accepted lots of students). I can tell you that most people there are very laid back, and from what I've heard you can expect to spend alot of time sitting around waiting on your interview. I've also heard that they sometimes ask a specific science question like what is glycolysis or similar. As most DO schools they are really interested in students who want to practice in underserved areas, and they want a diverse student body.
Sorry for the long post- let me know if you need any other info.

Thanks so much for the tips! Good luck to you too!!

Why were you so worried about getting the interview? Is this your first choice school? Just curious since I hope to interview there too. Thanks.

I know PCOM gets SO MANY applications, and I applied a little on the late side (Middle of October for AACOMAS) and was complete (secondary, file-wise) by end of November ... someone else was complete at PCOM in Aug. and FINALLY received an interview invite, given that PCOM-GA and Philly are different, I figurred there'd still be MANY applicants for the GA campus, as well. In addition, I never got feedback upon the status of my application and everytime I called, they told me they could not say for sure because they dunno ... anyways, I'm not sure if its my top school option, between NSU and PCOM-GA, I cant really decide. I figure that when I attend the interviews for both and get a taste of what they offer to their students, I will get a better idea of my top school choice. However, geographically speaking, PCOM-GA is MUCH closer to where I live than NSU is.

Goodl Luck....Just some advice

Are you staying in GA...they like that
very relaxed interview 2 to 1

I loved the atmosphere that the students give to the school.

Hope to see you in August

Thanks!! I currently reside in AL, but if I get into the school, I'll definitely be living in GA.

I may have to leave the night before, as I notice the session begins quite early ... so, I may stay in GA for the night, then come back following the interview (I have work and will likely be late for that, I expect to miss all my classes since my last class ends at 3:50)

I definitely hope its relaxing interview ... do they tend to pull some trick science-based questions like the other poster suggested?

Congrats!! I applied late also, and sent in my secondary late November. I got my interview in Mid-December, and was accepted 6 days after my interview, so I had a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.👍 Laid back interview type, and if you have anything weak on your app., make sure that you can explain it, because they will ask you about it. I live in Alabama (Montgomery area) also, and I drove the morning before the interview. Just make sure if you do that, you give yourself plenty of time to get thru I-85 traffic. The campus is nice, and I got a good feel for the school right when I walked through the door.

Good Luck! Maybe I will see you in the Fall.

Are GA & PA completely different in their admissions process? I received a letter in mid-November from PCOM-GA, stating that I was complete, and they would contact me shortly in regards to an interview. That same day, I received an interview invite at PCOM-PA. I interviewed there in mid-December, but have not yet heard from GA. I called the admissions office, and they would only tell me if I'm complete--which I know I am. I have yet to hear anything from GA, and I would really like a chance to go down for an interview.
