So, I know this has been asked before but I was wondering if anybody had some more clarification. I don't have a pre-med committee because I've done post bacc work at another university and they want a pre-med committee from the university granting the degree. I didn't do as well there (hence the post bacc work) and couldn't get a committee letter anyway because it is a year long process. I can have my old advisor write that I was in "good standing," which is what some posts say that's all I need to do. What is the point of this? Obviously if I graduated then I was in "good standing." Is that really all I need? I don't know my old advisor very well and actually thought she was pretty lousy at her job and I told her when I needed to get holds off to register that I didn't really need her advice. I wasn't rude or anything but she messed many people up, like most advisors do. Anybody gone through this?
