For those of you who go to PCOM: Were you able to submit letters of rec. other than the ones they require? My school has neither a premed committee nor will advisors write letters of req. Does anyone know if I can substitute, for example, a couple of letters from professors?

I am sure you can substitute the committee/advisor letters with a number of science/non-science faculty letters. I didn’t have a committee letter either, but I had an extensive number of letters of recommendation. Furthermore, I had to have my undergrad send an official letter stating that they don't provide committee/advisor letters. Call PCOM for the details.

Also, I recommend that you shadow a DO and hopefully get a letter from him or her. This will solidify your application and give you a better idea of being an osteopathic physician. Good luck…

Thanks for the advice...by the way, I really like the quote you have as your signature. I have surely failed lots of times so I hope it pays off in the end. Good luck with your studies.
