PCOM Panic

So I've been complete at PCOM for about a month.

2 Questions:

1) Can I expect a response soon?

2) Do people receive interview invites via snail mail?

PCOM received my stuff at the end of October, and I just heard about an interview (via e-mail). Georgia sent me a letter stating I was complete (snail mail). I know Philly processes and sends to GA. So, all-in-all, I heard after about a month. So you should be hearing soon! I hear there are certain times of the month when the ad. committee looks at apps. So, good luck! Oh, and I'm jealous, I loved WVSOM, but couldn't afford the out-of-state tuition!! I hear they have a wonderful clinical program!

WVSOM was pretty great. It left a lasting impression, really... and i wouldn't mind going there at all. That said, I think that I would be more confident in my clinical rotations setting up better opportunities in an area like philly, new york, or chicago...

Please, please don't take my excitement about PCOM and CCOM to mean that I in any way am not thrilled about my acceptance to WVSOM.

Don't worry, I didn't take it that way! It's always nice to see other schools before making that final decision. I was lucky enough to have interviews at both my top schools before seeing other ones. Hope you get that interview! 😀

Thanks DPS319, you just made me feel much better. I thought I was the only one who has waited forever to hear from PCOM since I was complete since the middle of september. Now I know other people have been waiting longer than me.

I've been complete since the second week of October...nothing yet. Not even an "application complete" email...

I've already gotten rejections/interview invites from schools I've been complete at for less time.

Most people who are competitive for PCOM seem to hear within 6 weeks time.

I got a "youre complete" letter, so i guess my "nothing" remark isnt totally true

I had everything in at PCOM except my secondary application. After I sent that in, they asked me for an interview within 10 days...even before the MCAT scores were released, amazing!

Perhaps it depends when you send in your application? I sent mine in the first week of October.
