i am a kcumb student and I just did a 2 week preceptor rotations in the ED last year. They have a house there for people coming in to just do 1-2 months rotations. You should ask Lorraine Sorreno about it. It is $25/month and very close to the hospital. It is a decent place and walking distance from the hospital. No I would not go out by myself at night there as a female but other women stayed there and had no problems. The neighbors seemed very nice too.
