So everybody is aware there is and will continue to be a shortage of PCP physicians in the US. I can definitely see myself becoming a PCP just by my personality and value of a life/work balance. But, I also consider being one to assist in the current shortage. Even if I am more interested in other specialties do you think its a legitimate to become a PCP to help the current problem in the United States over my own interests? Would you consider being a PCP to do the same thing? I understand everyone has their own goals and interests but I am just curious how you all feel about this and if it would make an impact on your decision to enter a certain field.
