PCSOM Class of 2011

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
East 43rd...we actually set up a hub site at Christ. I rotated through Christ last year and mentioned it to one of the program directors and they thought it was a great idea. They are also in the process of trying to get AOA approved for their IM program.

As far as setting up your own site...it can be done...it takes a lot of work and you have to start early. Alot of pros and cons to this, I guess that you just have to weigh them.

Thanks for the rotation site info everyone! My boyfriend is living in FL and asked me about the possibility of doing some of my rotations down there.....I didn't really know if this would be an option-so I appreciate the insight! 👍

7Ju7Ju7, I work at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati right now, and during my interview at PCSOM I was told they were working to set up rotations in the future with one of the hospitalists here, who's a D.O....so I know they are probably constantly trying to expand their rotation sites. I noticed you're from Ohio, so I thought you might be interested.

east43rd & 7Ju7Ju7,

I'm a current 3rd year (almost 4th year) who is hubbed @ Bethesda North Hospital in Cincy. And I can tell you that they are definetly trying to expand the core sites that you will be able to to rotate at during your final two years. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

Oh, and welcome to everyone of the class of 2011

The school does have a gym somewhere on campus. I honestly never went to the schools gym so I really cant tell you much about it. Most people just buy a YMCA membership because PCSOM students usually get a discounted rate. My YMCA membership was about 165 bucks a year. We have a nice YMCA.
