You need a separate application to do it, I believe. Or maybe it is an expensive Adobe plug-in to Word or something?

The easiest way is to google "free pdf creator." Download one of the free utilities and install it. It will usuall add a pseudo printer to your printers list. Go back to Word, choose print, and then select whatever one is your pdf creator. It will digitally "print" a pdf to whatever hard drive location you select.

search for PrimoPDF. it's a free pdf-er for anything you can print. it has worked perfectly for me

I like Primo for Windows, but OP needed one for Mac. OP came back and changed post #2 from "I can't find one for a Mac" to "gret thanks!" - which I think is German for "You are the best."

You don't need a plug-in for the mac. You can print directly to pdf with word.

Yea..mac is cake. I also have adobe acrobat pro which I got from my school for about 30 bucks. I use it a lot though....type writer features, highlighting, all the stupid features are really nice.

OpenOffice.org also prints directly to PDF and is a (free) MS Office replacement available for most platforms - Windows, Mac, Linux, BSD, etc...

You can also get Adobe Acrobat professional which will let you convert *.doc to *.pdf or you can get Office 2007 which will let you download a plugin for Word to do the same.

I have a mac and I was having trouble converting word to pdf with adobe (I had both portrait and landscape pages and adobe saved them separately). I used expresspdf.com.....it's free and will convert larger documents than some of the other free ones.

just do it at work (that is if you work) or do it at your school library...very easy instructions to follow.

You have to use a specif program like ryandote (el senor quien tiene toda la informacion sobre las escuelas de medicina)

adobe acrobat professional = $$$$$$

dude, with no discount it's like $450. talk about quite the investment in software.

get CutePDF writer.

Office 2007 (word) can do it. You need to download a free patch from microsoft and it will convert word to pdf.
