i was flipping through my ADTS program list....and I noticed a program that downloaded some of my documents late at night.....not all of the documents though.

They downloaded some of the documents earlier in the day (afternoon) and then the rest late at night. There wasn't just one program that did this, there were a few that did this.

possibilities:

a) he/she went clubbing and took a wireless connection with them and uploaded while they drank a few.

b) his/her spouse got mad at them and fell asleep, so they decided to look at applications.

c) they prefer to look at these late at night, when a headache could easily be solved by going to sleep

still, i found the idea pretty interesting.

Some thoughts on each of those possibilities:

for a), it might work to your advantage if you are mediocre applicants, because a board score of 204 and 240 doesn't look that different anymore after a lap dance and a few shots.

for b), bad news for you. Spouse got mad at them for coming home late because they are on call, so he/she must be pretty upset that he/she wont be making love that night. Guess what, now that the PD is in a bad mood like that when s/he reads YOUR application?

for c), depends. If your application create such a bad headache, you'd much rather he be asleep rather than reading your app!

trade mark it, maybe it will one day replace ambien if you can get it through stage 3 clinical trials.

stage 3 clinical trials!! wooohooo!

there will come a day, when I will *prescribe* my Personal Statement to take away peoples' pain.

how will it take away pain????? by showing people what TRUE PAIN feels like!

so last night I noticed that a program had uploaded ALL my documents *except* my USMLE transcripts on the 4th of September.

my USMLE transcript was available then, but they didn't download it.

they downloaded the transcript YESTERDAY...a full 8 days after the rest of my application. Does this mean that they are interested in me?? If they didn't want me, they wouldn't keep downloading my stuff would they!?

yes, i'm investigating the match. There must be tricks in those times and dates that will help us predict what is happening!!!

I vote for choice A. if a PD has to download my app, I hope he is plastered when he does it. A little disinhibition on the part of a PD never hurt anyone..............bring on the booze!
