Has anyone submitted a manuscript to Pediatric Critical Care Medicine? If so, how long does it take to hear back from reviewers? It's been 7 weeks and haven't heard anything from the journal. Thanks.

Regardless of the journal, if you don't get a response at about 7-8 weeks after submission, send a VERY NICE email to the editorial office asking about the status of your manuscript. If you don't hear back within a week, call the editorial office and NICELY ask about it.

At about 10 weeks, send a hate-filled nasty letter to the editor in chief.😛

At 3 months, withdraw the manuscript and threaten the journal that you'll never read an article in it again.😱

Actually, at 10 weeks, start pestering, but still be nice. At 3 months, consider withdrawing the article. That doesn't happen often with any journal, but sometimes.....
