I have recently learned about family health teams in which a family practice physician leads an interprofessional team (including nurses, dieticians, etc.) to be able to take on more patients, conceivably to their benefit.

Is there such a thing as pediatric health teams lead by general pediatricians? If so, please elaborate. If not, why not?

I could not find anything about a pediatric equivalent to family health teams after searching the web.

Not sure if this is what you're going for, but my school has a number of interdisciplinary clinics, though most of them seem to be aimed at specific diagnoses. One of them is the diabetes clinic, where they see the NP for education, the physician for insulin changes and management, and the dietician/nutritionist for carb counting and whatnot advice. Social workers are also available on an as-needed basis.
