I have decided on applying for residency in pediatrics and would like to purchase a pediatric or infant stethoscope. I have a Cardiology III from littman that I got at the beginning of med school already and have been happy with it, although I don't really like that it looks just like what every one else in my class has. In searching on the internet for pediatric stethoscopes, I've seen some by ultrascope that are look fun and unique, but I haven't really been able to find many reviews about them. Does anyone out there have one of these? How is the sound quality on kids and babies? I've also seen one called an ultrascope duo that allows you to have two different sized heads that can be attached, but wasn't sure how the sound quality would be with detachable heads. Any advice out there?
