Creating thread for everyone applying for Pedo class of 2017. Just submitted my application. Any advice or interview dates would be helpful. Good luck to everyone.

Just wondering for those of you who have submitted... did you list your extracurricular activities down in order of importance or by date? There's no mention of it in the PASS application but the international dental students application states you should rank them by order of importance. Not sure what to do here. :sour:
 
I just did them randomly as they were listed on my CV, i think it was by date though. It didn't mention anything about ordering them by importance
 
If you guys get any interview dates, you can post them. I think that would also be helpful for fellow applicants

How did you enter single day volunteer events into the application? Did you just leave the time frame in months and ignore the date? I thought the AADSAS application was horrible when I was applying to dental school but the PASS application just takes the cake! LOL.
 
Anyone getting application complete emails?

I included one day events where I provided actual treatments (restorations and extractions) not OHI to elementary kids tho.
 
I got confirmations about completed applications at UNC the other day. Also from Nova

But I think deadlines aren't for sometime so we will probably hear back from at least LMC (according to prior threads) by end of this month! Can't believe the cycle is starting so soon
 
Yea I have gotten some app complete as well. Hopefully we will start to hear about interviews sometime this month

I applied to both AZ schools and San Diego, but haven't heard anything yet.

Do you know if the LMC programs have more than one day that they send out interview invites? Or if I haven't heard from Tuscon by the end of the night, then I can assume I didn't get an invite? Thanks!

They're still calling out for invites- phone call this morning- I would give them a good week to send out all the invites, and I've heard from past years that LMC Tuscon is one that has had openings in the POST Match- they accept 6 residents per year =).
Exciting time for everyone! Yay!!

On a webinar the Director of Minnesota Dr. Karp stated that interview invitations were a rolling process and not all are extended on the same day.

Out of curiosity- has anyone had multiple interview invites from Lutheran programs? I applied to four Lutheran programs and was invited to interview at one of them. I'm just wondering if they collaborate to limit competition between sites.

Hello! That's a great question. I'm curious too. I applied to 5 and got interview invites at 2 of them. So maybe they do collaborate? I'm not sure. However I'm almost positive that the LMC's send out all their invitations at once. With that being said, if we have not heard back from the programs mentioned in the thread (Alaska, Hawaii, San Diego, Phoenix, Tucson, and Yakima), chances are we won't hear back from them.

Hmm, I'm not 100% sure if this is true. I called the SD office and they said they are still reviewing applications. That they will still be calling applicants as they review and if anyone cancels. But with that being said, who ever knows with this process!

haha Yea it really is a mystery. All I know is the waiting game is not fun. But I hope you're right...fingers crossed for all of us! :)
