Congrats on the application getting done!! The wait sucks but now it's about double checking that all supplement stuff is sent or delivered correctly.....and WAIT🙂
 
So I'm that ******..... I finally submitted my application. Super excited and happy for just a little while, then found out I made a HUGE mistake on my CV 🙁 Let's just say it's a big and very obvious mistake that I might as well not be applying, sigh.... I'm going to call PASS first thing in the morning to see what they can do.

Anyone had similar experience and need to make changes on the application? Any words of encouragement?

MBeast needs to stay a beast & no worries....call them tomorrow. If they aren't much help (which I can see them doing) then I would contact the schools that you are applying to directly & explain the situation. They may just let you submit your CV directly to them & then they will just add it to your file with a note. Keep the faith!![emoji2]

Thank you Niles19! That's so nice and encouraging of you to say! I called PASS, like you said, nothing they can do, so I'm going to send one to each program directly. No big deal. Keep going.

I'm glad you got it figured out! That sounds so frustrating! Maybe programs barely look at the cv included with the application anyway because most of the places requested that I submit one directly to them. Good luck!
 
Does anyone know what supplemental docs need to be sent to NOVA directly? The last I spoke to someone at the program it was just a unofficial copy of NBDE scores. Does anyone know anything different

Does anyone know if Houston want the official NBDE, DAT, and 2x2? On PASS it says yes, but there's not much info on the program website, and no address or contact info/person.

Sorry won't let me share the link, but you can look it up on PubMed. Its a bit dated but I spoke to recent directors from Texas, Virgina, and Florida who confirmed the findings.
 
Hey all! When should we expect to start hearing from schools regarding interviews?

Also, I have heard several things about "Lutheran programs" - why do people prefer NOT to attend Lutheran programs? I applied to a couple but I'd like to know as much as I can just in case! Thanks and good luck to everyone!
 
I would guess the majority of programs will be notify around mid-September to late October, but a few programs could start as early as next week. I'm basing this off of reading threads from previous years when applicants posted the info so everyone would have an idea of where they stood in the interview process.
 
Do we have to register for Match right now?

I just got an email from a program asking me to make sure that I registered for match. I was under the impression I could wait to make sure I would have interviews before paying for match?

I think you can wait for match until you don't miss the deadline but if you are getting emails from program you shd sign up as it may be a pre requisite for certain programs.
 
I'd ask....one gave me scrubs that I had to wear & the other gave me an option so I wore scrubs.

I wanted to put externship info in the additional info section, but I forgot to put it in the application. I have been out of school for a while, so I didn't put extracurricular activities in my app.

You may have already gotten your answer, but I never come on here. Washington emailed me the day after I submitted and told me they received my application and asked that I submit the wavier, 2x2 photo, and CV (I think they asked for this although it is inc. with PASS). You don't have to apply to the grad school until you accept. Then you pay the application fee.

So do we actually need to contact the ADA and have our scores released? I thought this info is included in our deans letter. I have heard from more than half of my schools that my application is complete, but I need to know if some of the other programs might be expecting me to submit scores directly to them when they list that as required info. Anyone actually know?

I emailed each program individually if it said on the adea pass site that they wanted official nbde scores. About half of them wanted official scores and half said the deans letter was adequate. If they want official scores you have to send it through the Ada and it costs $34 each time 🙁
 
$34 a pop or not....is it not worth it if it gets you to your dreams & goals....just say'n🙂

What about the ones that want your DAT scores.....you want those....really??? LoL
 
Yeah....I was like "okkkkk that was 15 yrs ago.....do you want me to carve a primary 1st molar out of a piece of soap or recite the whole kerbs cycle too?!?!"....but of course if that's what it took I'd still do it🙂)
 
I called NOVA and I was told to send unofficial NBDE scores(copies) but the website says official copy , so I am in a fix what to do. I sent a unofficial copy but haven't heard back on the status of the application. Does anyone has any idea on what all supplemental documents they sent to NOVA
 
I'm just getting very nervous with missing information /documents with my application. I know everything is included in the PASS application but I keep getting panic attacks if I missed something also because a lot of programs donot give any info on application being complete or not
 
Hmmmm sounds the same way we all did when we applied to dental school....LoL.

Just relax & let it ride.

I didn't apply to Nova but don't stress it (unless it's the only school you applied too & if you did I'd make damn sure I had everything in via a live person in person or on the phone)
 
Haha yep it does🙂 No applied to a lot of other programs, most of them were very clear with what they wanted and what not but I've had issues with few..but like you said I will do my best & try to let go the rest 🙂
 
This is my first pedo rodeo....is this anyone's second time & what did you learn from your past experience??
 
Which programs do not accept the PASS application and require application via their own program's application?

Hi! niles19. I didn't realize anyone had responded to my question. I've been out for 5 years. Right now I work in public health and work with a lot of kids. But I decided to wait for the next application cycle. How has the process gone? Any tips for me when I apply next summer?
 
Well you might have done the right thang ((waiting till next years cycle))cuz I've had two directors tell me that this year is very competitive & there are a lot more applicants this year....hmmmm, I'm STILL gunning for IT!!![emoji2]
 
I have interviews at Bon Secours and MUSC. I wonder if they send all interview invites the same day or not. Like if someone has an interview somewhere already and I haven't heard from that school yet, if that means they are done

Yeah my friend told me the way to find out you can rule out the school is if people post they have been offered an interview but no one has called you 🙁 I'm hoping people start posting! I guess no news yet means good news. Good luck!
 
Does anyone know the stats from post-match this year (ie which schools had unfilled slots)??

I don't know the exact numbers. But I think a few Lutheran sites had unmatched spots and they interviewed for post match in Feb and did their own match to different sites at the beginning of April.
