Anyone else anxious? Pedo is the only specialty that hasn't started interviewing!

We should be hearing about interviews starting this week.... (based on when applicants heard the last few years).

I'm glad that we are finally starting to hear back from the schools; I was starting to get jealous with all the other specialties' interviews already underway.

Has anyone heard anything from Cincinnati?......I thought for sure someone would have heard something by now.

I am wondering the same thing. Looking at the past few years they are always one of the first to start calling people to interview.....
 
I haven't heard anything myself, but I know someone who received a rejection letter from Cincinnati last week.
 
Dental Pilot - Welcome to the Pedo Forums! Nice to have you. How's Dr. Wood these days? That guy is awesome! He taught our Pedo courses here at ASDOH. Good luck with the application process!
 
I just received a call from the Rochester program. Here are the dates.
Rochester
Oct. 29th, Nov. 5th, Nov. 12th, Nov. 19th
 
I'll check with our PD to see if/when they will be mailed out. Interviews will be later this year in cinci (nov, dec i believe).

Does anyone know if there is rhyme or reason to the order the interview letters are sent out? Is it order of preference or maybe alphabetical? Also, when do they stop sending out interview letters?

I think they just review the applications as they come in. From my experiences last year, most school send out invitations through October and perhaps the first week or so of November.

My PASS just went out to the schools about 2 weeks ago (9.15). I've heard from 6 schools for supplementals so hope to add more, but am stoked to at least have a couple.
 
Would those of you who have received interviews thus far care to share board scores/gpa/class rank? Don't mean to be nosey, just want to see if I'm even in the ballpark of what programs are looking for. I'm not applying this year but might next year. Thanks in advance!

wisdum, did you get an interview invite or just an email stating that your app is complete? I got an email yesterday stating that my app was complete, but I thought it said they would be reviewing all apps shortly...maybe I am confused...

When programs send interview invitations, do you think they typically send them all at once, or are there more later (if we don't hear from a program when others do, give up? or still hope?)

What do you think is appropriate attire for the "social" events of the interview, ie. day before or day after, "dinner with residents" or "tour of facilities" etc.?

1. Many send them all at once, some seem to send them out in 2 or 3 groups.

2. Dress nicely. Not a suit/tie, but a collared shirt and khakis is appropriate for the guys.
